GoWesty All-Steel heavy-Duty Center Console
Made from tough 12-gauge powder-coated steel, this console is built to take a beatingwalk, jump, even dance on it without a second thought. The updated design features a larger lid and an extra 700 cubic inches of storage compared to the previous version, giving you plenty of space to stash your essentials. A key-locked latch keeps everything secure, whether you’re parked downtown or at a remote trailhead.
Fits:All 1980-91 LHD Vanagon models, except diesel vans with aisle heater tunnels.

Magnetic Metal Cup Holders:These all-metal, ultra-strong magnetic cup holders are a major upgrade from the plastic ones. Designed to flex and fit oversized vessels, they even have a slot for your cup handleduh! Stick them on any flat surface, inside or out. Already have our older console? Remove the old cup holder, use that space as a cubby, and slap a couple of these magnetic ones on the front. Problem solved!
Bolt-On Front Table Leg Mount: A GoWesty-exclusive redesign that beats the original Westy mount in every way. Installs on either the driver or passenger side and works with both your original Westy front table setup or our GoWesty reproductions. Don’t have a camper? No problemthis lets you add a table to any Vanagon model.

Seat Belts:
1980-84 Vanagon: Console installation requires (2) 251-857-80-ERA*
*Early Vanagons (1980-84) feature a male seat belt connector that is incompatible with the included flexible receivers (see image below), thus two complete Late-Style Front Seat Belt Kits (KT-VANO-ERA) must also be purchased.
Floor Coverings: Aftermarket carpet/rubber center aisle mats need to be removed for installation. The console body needs to sit directly on the factory original flooring material.
Early Model Vans with the Rubber Hand Brake Boot:Some early-model 1980-83 vans had slight variations in hand brake placement, and all came with an oversized rubber boot. We have included a knockout in the L-shaped corner of the Center Console to fit these variants. Knocking out the tab is simple: use tin-snips or a thin metal saw to cut the bottom tabs, then bend the knockout to break off the top tab.
